Double Chocolate Banana Bread
A decadent banana bread that is really more like a brownie. Sweet, chocolatey, and very moist.
You wouldn't even know it has some healthy swaps (Greek yogurt instead of oil or butter, and banana-heavy to reduce added sugars).

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 4 medium ripe bananas
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Prepare a loaf tin with parchment paper and olive oil on the small sides.
- Mash the bananas.
- Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl.
- Mix eggs, Greek yogurt, bananas, vanilla extract, and sugar until well combined.
- Add cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour into the pan and bake uncovered for 1 hour.
Notes
Next time, the sugar can be reduced to ¼ cup.
Add ¼ cup of almond flour or chopped walnuts for extra texture.
